Things to do in Hiroshima
Visitors to Hiroshima Prefecture usually weigh the city's memorial sites against the islands offshore, and each of them comes with its own tickets, boat times and timing questions. Knowing those in advance decides how much you can fit into a day.
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum guide explains when you need a web ticket and when you can simply pay at the door, along with closures and how long to allow. For the shrine island, is Miyajima worth it covers the costs you will meet there and how the tide decides whether you can walk out to the torii.
Further along the coast, the Okunoshima guide deals with Rabbit Island: the train to the port at Tadanoumi, the ferry, and the last boat you must catch to get back the same day.
